How To Transport Songs From Your iPod to Your PC, the EASY way.

Note: I know this trick works for windows OS, not sure about macs

People have been trying to make programs to “hack” the iPod. How so? They’ve been making it reverse compatible. anyway with an ipod you know that u cant put songs from the ipod to itunes via itunes.

but u can do it w/o a program.

The guide to hacking the iPod (sort of hacking anyway):
1) open up your iPod folder. you should have a few things like a calender, contacts, and notes folder
2) view all hidden files
tools > folder options > view tab > radio btn to show hidden files
3) you have some new transparent things. go into iPod_Control folder
4) go into the music folder, where u should c a bunch of folders. mine are named f00, f01, etc.
in those folders are all your music. however, the file name is “encrypted”. (its random letters too, but u dont need to crack it)

to view the titles of the songs:
5) at the top, there is a order bar. it has things like name, size and type on it. right-click and a checked menu will appear. select “title”

Now, all your songs are useable by you. just drag them to where ever you wish them to be. best of all, itunes reads the title names, so u dont ever need to change them!

I’m not too sure myself, but it could be a folder option, or in the right-click menu. Again, don’t quote me on it.

In windows xp, go to any explorer window. Go to tools -> folder options -> click view tab -> then under hidden files and folders select “show hidden files and folders”.
