Update 5-25-09: Yes, you can use the same beta keys for RC1
On Friday, January 9th, Microsoft gave out links for the public to download the latest public beta of Windows 7. I downloaded it in about 1 hour and 10 minutes, so it was a fast download. Already, I can tell you that this OS kicks ass. I lived on XP for the last 7 years or so, and I never get excited about an OS before. I am really liking this Windows 7.
Windows 7 installed in about 25 minutes, and I haven’t had any problems with it. The screenshot above has a picture of my desktop, and I love how the windows are spread out, and how the icons near the clock are grouped in their own box.

the serials keys are for how long?
MS is allowing people to register and get their keys up to January 24th.
The keys are good till August 2009.
So we have to use the key before jan 24?
Per MS themselves:
“We have clearly heard that many of you want to check out the Windows 7 Beta and, as a result, we have decided remove the initial 2.5 million limit on the public beta for the next two weeks (thru January 24th). During that time you will have access to the beta even if the download number exceeds the 2.5 million unit limit.”
After that, I suppose some cracker will make something anyway to extend the life span of the beta. ;p

Just so you know, yes, you can use the beta keys above for RC1.
So if I install 64bit and use this key, does that mean August 2009 my computer will not work?
It will work up till March 2010.

Correct, you can use these keys for RC1.
Will this delete everything on my pc?
It will if you tell it to. If you are smart enough, make a new partition and install it to that partition to dual boot.
But then if i have it on a dula partition, it is going to kill 16gb of memory and after 1st of June, i can delete the second partiton with Windows 7 on it right?
16GB of memory is more than enough!
Of course you can delete the second partition, but Windows 7 will be the next best OS since XP.
When is the expected release of the full version of Windows 7?

Be smart. Be clever. Get the OEM version at tug.cjb.net under windows 7.
Don’t know why you would even need a cd key.
Just download an activator, there are tons of them out there, google it.
