[TiT] That’s It Tuesday Issue 13

Hi underground visitors! Welcome to the thirteenth issue of TIT, or That’s It Tuesday! Every Tuesday, I, Versatile1, will give you a rant of whats going on in the blog, whats intended for the future, hope, dreams, etc.

Holy crap, the TiT issue is New Years day! How sweet is that? Last week was Xmas, and now today it is New Year’s Day. 2007 has been a great year for the blog.  I started the blog in April of 2007, but because I was finishing up school, I didn’t really get a chance to really work on this site much.  It was more of a “yea whatever” kind of thing.

Well, once I graduated school, I got a job and this blog fell to the wayside.  Sure, I updated it from time to time, but not serious enough.  In October, life was going well, and then I decided to update the blog more frequently, but with a new goal in mind:  To have at least a new post on the blog each and every day as feasibly possible.

Along the way, I recruited new authors, such as GN, Chyea, Voltaire, Demonator, and the like.  As time grew on, I soon came to realize that I can’t hold everyone to the same expectations.  Some people who were really excited to write on the blog wrote an article or two, and then just disappeared.  I realized that no one will really care what happens here because it isn’t their blog, its mine.  There was a time that Voltaire wanted to trump me in posts, but as you and I know, that won’t happen. 😛

The most popular threads of 2007?  Well, take a look at the top posts and you’ll soon find out.  In summary, popular threads were:

Those are the hottest posts of 2007.   What will 2008 bring?  I really don’t know.

Voltaire and I really want more community interaction.  Commenting in posts has finally picked up, which is great.  Forum activity is somewhat dismal, and we are figuring out what can be done to make it more fun, if can be.  How about a contest where users write up an article, and the best underground article is featured on the blog?  I don’t know, I want input from you guys.

Earlier in 2007, I tried to implement ads and google adsense funding.  After awhile, it just didn’t work, my accounts kept on getting disabled.  Although Musicmasteria and Voltaire were hellbent on extra cash, I’m not so much anymore.  Sure, the extra money on the side is nice, but not necessary.  I don’t post to live, I live to post. 😛

With that said, I hope 2008 will be an excellent year.  Will we have new authors?  Will the blog become more explicit?  Who is the Dark Knight?  Who will be the new USA president and so forth?  Come, and let’s discover it together.
