The Adobe After Effects Journey
Revisions:
5-11-10: Initial release.
I will keep this short, as I am too excited to write right now. For the past few days, I have been watching and doing a lot of tutorials about Adobe After Effects. The reason being?
We at GameDexterity every now and then get a complaint that 30 seconds for an intro is too long. I agree, and talking it over with the team, HelloMe7 said he can make a new one.
The issue is I have to wait for him to make one, and I decided I could not wait any longer. Rather than be a tool, I’ve decided to not become one. Thus, the last few days I have eagerly been watching a lot of guides at videocopilot.net to get a feel of what can be done.
The program itself is very advanced, and having the tools is no good if you have no idea how to use them. Right now I am in the process of making a shorter intro, about 10 seconds or so with some of my own flavor. There is nothing that I hate more than using a template, only to see some guy on the net also using the same template. It almost crushes the idea of uniqueness, doesn’t it?
The hardest part and what I think is the coolest part is how creative can I get with this. The new intro is hopefully going to be slick. I am going to start off with a quotation that should help set the tone of the intro. I can’t reveal any more details than that right now, because it’s going to make another guy clone my idea probably.
Once I get this intro out of the way, I have no issues making some tutorials about this program, because I know people are dying to know how to use this program. Hell, I was one of those people, and soon I won’t be. I can’t wait to show it off. Stay tuned…

Ya’ should find a good track (If you’re gonna use sound) and design to the beat of it, that really helps with the creativity
