Left 4 Dead 2 Server Launcher

If  you’ve already read Versatile’s Tutorial on [How To] Play Left 4 Dead 2 LAN Online Using Tunngle (Garena, or Hamachi) (btw awesome post) and you already have due to it being the top post.  I bet your right now searching for a quicker way of launching your multiplayer game instead of typing “map whatyouwant” in the console

Overview

Well the Left 4 Dead 2 Launcher is a program written C++  “yawn”  I’ll skip the technical.  What the software does basically, is that it creates your online or lan game before you even think about the console. (Yes it also does work for those who bought it)

As you can see from the image above,  it has the same interface as  Steam (nice touch). Down below in the left hand corner is an option where you can select what character you want to play.  Sorry only the server hoster can choose who wants to be. There is also a password option for those want to host private  games. Another benefit of this is that you can host your game on a selected port. Good for running games on special routers.

For those with Non-Legit Versions

Now before you go ahead and scroll down to the download link, I reccomend you download the Revolution-Emulator rev-emu for short (download link below) Once it’s done click on it and instead of installing it in your Left 4 Dead 2 root directory ie C:\Program Files\Left 4 Dead 2 where it says,  just install it into a folder somewhere like the desktop. Once it’s done go into the bin folder and copy the “config” folder and paste it into your \Left 4 Dead 2\Bin\ folder. Once done open Config folder right click the MasterServers.vdf file and click properties and make it read only. This will make the Server apear on the Steam Group Server option in Game, instead of you going to the Left 4 Dead 2 Server Launcher and typing the hosts ip. To install the launcher extract the archive copy the file to your install directory, create a shortcut and enjoy.

*Note if your running rev-emu “MasterServers.vdf” ignore the above paragraph!

For those with Legit Versions

Simply extract files from the archive and copy to your install directory for the game (install directory, root directory same thing) create a shortcut and enjoy.

Starcraft II Project – ” Crack” Is Work in Progress

Foreword:  Starcraft II is the hottest thing right now in the RTS world.  The fact that people are trying to beat the battle.net system is not illegal.  Even legit players are trying to find ways to make it work offline.  We do not have a crack or offline emulator at this point in time. If we do, expect us to blog about it ASAP. – Versatile

Starcraft II, I know, I know finally it’s come out… well the beta that is. Due to some serious luck so says Versatile I recently got my hands on a beta key and been working on a crack to bypass the B.NET authorisation.

Believe me it’s no easy feat I’ve disscussed some idea’s with the botdev.org programmers and I’ve been working round the clock. An example was last night when working the B.NET authorization (5PM-2AM). Right now I’ve got a major bug on assigning an different IP’s on my crack. So basically it’s useless on other machine’s right now. Blizzard’s code it freakin ridiculus. Probably thanks to people like us. ^__^

Anyways some constructive critism or help would be nice because I’m only doing this for you community, oh and my self just cause it’s good challenge.

Graphics Cards FTW

Not that I want to start a brand name war or anything but does anyone know whats the best single slot graphics card you can get. Currently my PC right now has 4GB ram a intel E6750 cpu and a NVIDIA 9800GT 1GB DDR3 graphics card. I bought my PC last year and so far it’s ran every game on max settings with a decent frame rate (60fps). Games I’ve got are COD6, Source Engine games (hl2), Bioshock 1 an 2 an few others.

Now your probably wondering why does this retard ask about a graphics card when he’s already got a decent frame rate. Well that reason is Crysis, after actually buying the game( so unlike the pirateer that I am) I’m still upset that I cant get it running at 60 fps on average. Boohooh, an yes I’ve overclocked my card to 750mhz on the core 1850mhz on the shaders and 935mhz on memory.

Crazy I know… so if you know anything please reply, those with the best reply’s, will have their dreams come true by me buying the graphics card they suggest and putting it in my PC. Ok, it won’t be your dreams… and yes I’ll post the pics of the new card.
