7 Life-changing Questions

An assortment of different questions that help a person think of what he/she really wants in life. These questions helped me figure myself out when I was lost, so maybe they can aid you as well.

1. Which is worse, failing, or never trying?

Really makes you think about what you want and it convinces you to take more risks and to have less regrets.

2. To what degree have you controlled the course your life has taken?

This question is more about doing than anything else. It’s about taking action, taking responsibility.

3. Are you holding on to something you need to let go of?

Many times we are unable to do something because we can’t let go of the past. Forget the past; the only way it can haunt the future is if you let it.

4. Why are you, you?

What makes you special? How are you unique? How are you any different? Maybe you are very versatile? Who knows? Find out what you’re good at and that you enjoy simultaneously. Complete yourself by giving uniqueness to your life and what you stand for.

5. Which is worse, when a good friend moves away, or losing touch with a friend who lives right near you?

Just a little heads-up. It makes a person grateful for having friends. A reminder to never let them go.

6. It is possible to know the truth without challenging it first?

Make sure you question everything before believing it. Don’t accept everything just because someone said so. If you don’t then you will surely be pushed around and used.

7. Would you rather have less work to do, or more work you enjoy doing?

Another reminder to just keep at it. Never stop pursuing your goals, no matter what. Nothing can stop you from being happy but yourself.

Underground Inspiration – Apparently, “We” Do Change Lives

Foreword:  This is a runner-up to one of my favorite posts for 2010.   I just know it. It is a bit long, but for good reason. Please read on and be inspired. – Versatile

2-18-10: Initial release.

There is so much I want to write about that it was difficult to write on this topic today, but I just had to. Within the last 24 hours, I have witnessed great feats of inspiration.

Last night during the Olympics, Skier Lindsey Vonn and Snowboarder Shaun White just DOMINATED their events. It was clear they were in the zone and the best at the sport. Starcraft 2 Beta officially started yesterday, and gamers around the world are waiting excitedly for their chance of obtaining a beta key for Starcraft 2.  I just came back from my 5 day Atlanta trip and there were some insights on life I wanted to write about.  However, all of this I have to stop thinking about it because something else has been eating away at my mind the whole afternoon and into the night.

Today, I have what is possibly the best story of inspiration ever and I want to share with you what I know so far. Of course, it wouldn’t do me justice if I told this story alone, so Chyea (or Mark) when you see this, please write your own personal article or leave a comment and I will add it to this article.

Physical, mental, family, and life health are important aspects in life.  You cannot be healthy without being well in all four subject areas. This article takes a look into each section and see how you can be more healthy starting today.

Physical Health

Who doesn’t want to be physically fit?! This is a very important asset to have. So why is physical health so important? Well, for one, it lengthens life expectancy. Live longer! It might be hard to pick up at first, but it is important in the long end. Exercise also makes you feel fantastic. More confidence, and it makes you happy. It is proven to release endorphins that make you happy. So when you’re feeling glum, go exercise. Another very peculiar thing that it does is it lets you sleep better. Most people often complain about sleeping problems, and most of those people are lazy. Exercise regulates your internal clock, and it helps you sleep much better. And last but not least, let’s not forget, it makes you look more attractive! So if you are trying to impress that one special person, why not get in shape and do just that?!

Mental Health

Mental health is very important in everyday life for many reasons. Think clearly, think faster, perform tasks better, makes speech clearer, and it just, on average, makes you sound smarter. This is a type of chain; one sets off the other, and so on. Mentally helps you think of words or sentences faster, get your work or homework done A LOT quicker, and it gives you better word choice to make you sound like a pure genius! Reading, writing and mental games such as chess or checkers all help progress this process. These are all things to exercise your mind with.

Family Health

Whether it’s just your parents or your wife and three children, it’s always good to have a good relationship with your family.Although people say they are cheerful alone, they are never as happy as they are with their family. It is key to true happiness. It is a new kind of love that must be experience. A life is wasted without family, for family is a main ingredient in the hodgepodge we call “living.” They support your decision and they back you 100% on anything, even if you’re wrong. And most importantly, they are always there to cheer you up when no one else is. Family helps you up at your weakest moment.

Life Health

A well-maintained life is very important. Inside you is the spark of true happiness, and the world is your fuel. If you have a healthy life overall, there is nothing you can’t accomplish. You can control so much more than you think. YOU have the power to shape your future any way you want! All that is needed is confidence and willpower.

Exercise to live your life longer and feel better.

Train your mind to be more knowledgeable.

Support your family, because they’re always supporting you.

With all of this you can become everything you’ve ever dreamed of!

Underground Social Experiment

It’s been awhile since I have last written, and this time around I thought I am going to be something I have never done before, which is a social experiment of sorts.

Every day people are asking questions, are you one of them?  Were you at school and you asked someone a question on how to do a certain problem?  Maybe you asked your teacher for help on a particular subject or clarification?

Were you at work and you had a question on what the customer wanted?  A question on your latest bill statement?  Life is full of questions.  However, over the course of time, it becomes obvious that some questions or conceptions just never go away or die.

As we all know, I am a very busy person.  I get home from work, and my time is limited to do a few tasks before I have to go to bed and then repeat the whole cycle the next day.  With that said, about 70% of my free time (maybe more or less depending on what happens that day) is related to answering questions about a diverse group of subjects.

How many questions is too many questions?  It’s time to find out in my little experiment.  Beginning today through the end of day Friday, I will be documenting and collecting every single question that is directed to me.

It can be a simple question on Youtube on my video, an e-mail, a comment here on the blog, or even in an instant messenger.  I am going to harvest every single question and collect it day by day groupings.

On Saturday, I will post the massive list of questions here on the blog for all of you to see. I don’t expect much of it to make sense, because I am just collecting questions, but I will put the questions in a topic header to separate questions from one to the other.

With that said, I am going to put up a new poll and lets see how many questions I am going to get between today and end of day Friday.  Will it be ten questions, 50, 100, 500?  We will soon find out!

How To Become Self-Sufficient Knowledge Wise – A Rant

These past few weeks have been rough and I’ll shortly describe why.  As they say, you are your own worst enemy and in this case I believe it is true.  These last few weeks when I am not here posting an article, I am away at my computer conjuring new things in mind, and a lot of it recently has been involvement with Tunngle tutorials.

To those who don’t know what Tunngle is it is essentially another VPN solution.  Think of it as a mix between Steam, Garena, and Hamachi all rolled into one and its great for playing LAN games over the Internet easily without trouble. This article is not to talk about Tunngle, but merely to express where most of my time has been lately.

Anyway, if anyone is familiar with Youtube, you can upload your own videos and if your videos are something that is important to people, you will bound to get questions.  No tutorial or video I have seen is question free.  There is always and I mean always that one guy in the crowd who needs clarification on something, even if it is obvious to the creator or to other people.

What We Can Do to Better Ourselves

We often think that we are stuck in a loophole, just waiting to go to work and then come back. Feed your dog, watch television, eat a bucket of ice cream and then off to bed; rewind and repeat. Well here are some ways to better ourselves in any way we can, and some reasons why we do the things we do.

Set Goals and Go Achieve

This is a basic idea, yet most fail to practice it. For example, if I were to set my goals to getting all A’s, and then do everything in my power to achieve that goal. It doesn’t have to be related to school in any way! It doesn’t have to be so extreme either. Maybe you have always wanted to go to Cedar Point, but were to afraid. Well then set your goal to go to the carnival. However you achieve success is up to you. But, don’t forget to do everything in your power! You can do everything you’ve ever wanted, step-by-step. Even make a list if you have to then you’ll be crossing off the items on the list one by one with a smile. It brings joy to any person to be progression.

One of the best and most simple things to do, but effective. This activity can be done at almost any time of the day, and it is also among the cheapest. It doesn’t have to be the biggest, toughest work-out; even a simple walk will do. Exercise is a proven to make a person happier, and it also helps someone feel better about themselves. Builds your physique and breaks down your fat! What have you got to lose?! (except fat)

This will definitely mix things up. Writing lets an individual express his/her ideas and be creative. Sitting here right now writing this article is bringing me happiness! I don’t write to impress others, I write for myself. Often I get asked “if you don’t get paid to write, then why do you do it?” Well the simple yet complex answer to that my friend is because I ENJOY IT. Whether it’s a poem, an article, essay, idea, journal, story, book, or even just a thought on paper. Write and I promise that you will prosper!

Now, I’m not here to tell you how to live your life, but without love what is life? there is a difference between living and being alive. Find that one magical person that you want and need! Speaking from experience, I was feeling alone and empty, and I just didn’t know what was wrong. There seemed to be something missing, but I just couldn’t put my finger on it. In most cases, people are alone for so long that they have become accustomed to it. Then I got a girlfriend, it only lasted for about three months, but I did learn something. I learned that I was missing a huge chunk of life. It came to my conclusion that she was the missing piece of the puzzle. Now I look for girls left and right, take every chance I get, and you should do the same too.

To conclude, no matter what you do, don’t forget to try to better yourself. You only live once (unless you are Budhist), so make the best of it. Be all that you can be, and strive to achieve!

Any comments or stories, especially success stories are greatly appreciated.

It’s not too late to fix regret!

Well obviously we have all regretted something in our lives whatever it may be, it has left you scarred and you just don’t know how to fix all of your problems, not to call myself a psychiatrist or anything.

Suffering from the roads not taken?

Well, at some point in your life you must have said, “I wish I had done that, but didn’t.” This often happens because of our human instinct of fear and scariness. Fear overcomes even the bravest of minds, and it puts our brains into submission mimicking it into thinking that what we are doing is dangerous. Then later, we beat ourselves up for not taking the risk.

Religious Theories

I understand that this is a delicate topic for most and that is exactly why the title is as is, “Religious THEORIES.” These are just personal opinions of mine, not actual facts, and excuse me if I offend anyone in any way. I would love comments trying to flaw my theories, as this is a blog of course, so let’s blog!

First and foremost, I do respect all religious beliefs, and I have nothing against any religion in any way as long as people don’t try to convert me. If we are all mature enough we might just make it through this!

 Why is religion good?

Starting with the biggest one, Christianity. Well here is a standstill between good and evil; simple rules to follow really. If you are good you go to heaven, but if you are a greedy little conniving devil you will most likely be going to hell. I like Christianity’s beliefs because they are definitely simple (no offense).

Second, Hinduism. I look up to this religion for a good reason. Meditation is a key part, along with concentration. I would live to just sit and ponder all day, for it would give me time to truly appreciate what is important.

The only reason I favor Muslim is because I’m a man. If it were for any different entities, I would not swing in this direction at all. I might have confused some of you, let me clarify. In this religion, men reap all of the rewards. I’m sure we would all love to be sitting in heaven with 72 virgins and a river of mine!

Well, Buddhism is one of my favorite religions because it doesn’t have something every other religion has. It has no god! And for all of you who think that Buddha is their god, he is not! He was the first person to reach enlightenment. Much like Hinduism, it also involves meditation.

I favor Paganism because it is original. It was one of the very first religions to involve magic, fortune-telling, and spirits. It has many minor branches, one being Wiccan. They are also responsible for the origins of many Christian holidays, especially Easter.

A very well-thought out religion. This one is special because they were the first to have just one god (Don’t be jealous Christians). It is also less bullied and targeted because the Holocaust, which gives room for growth.

Obviously, Satanism gets criticized a lot more, simply for the fact that they took something evil and turned it good, in most eyes at least. I like it because, like me, they are the outcasts.

I have saved the best for last, Atheism. This is of course because I am an Atheist. My favorite thing about this religion is that the followers have accepted the fact that there is no afterlife; once you’re dead you’re dead!

I am going to whip up some Christian-Atheist debating, and this is because most of you reading this are probably either Christian or Atheist. Majority rules, but if anyone has any special requests feel free to ask.

 Is the Bible flawed?

Well, being an Atheist I would believe so, but unlike most religious believers, I back up my theories/opinions with facts. One of the main parts of Christianity says, “…thou shall not kill.” Simple to understand really, just don’t kill anyone. Another part though, says something along the lines of, “…burn down any neighboring villages that believe in any god besides the one and true god and kill the non-believers…” What ever happened to not killing anyone?

 What about other religions?

Well, obviously only one religion is right, and what if it were Christianity? Well, then everyone else would be going to hell, right? But I thought Jesus was forgiving? Oh well! Now people might say something like, “he is, but you have to ask for forgiveness.” I can most certainly tell you that a Muslim believer, for example, will NEVER ask for forgiveness. The thing is, everyone who is not a Christian thinks they are right, so no point bothering to get them to ask for forgiveness.

If Jesus died for our sins, wouldn’t we all go to Heaven?

This is also a flaw that I see with Christianity. That is, why bother being good if Christians have Jesus that died for their sins? I other words, a Christian can cause all the mischief he/she wants if he/she just asks for Jesus’ forgiveness. Murder is a deadly sin, but since the son of God has died for us, all believers go to heaven!

If god has a plan for all of us then what’s the point of anything?

See, now this is where it gets really tricky. Most Christians, even Versatile the main blog operator, agreed that God has a plan for all of us. Well if god has a plan what is the point of doing anything, because we’ll end up in the same place, according to the plan in store. You can’t change the future, because the future is the future, and it WILL happen, no matter what. Keeping this in mind, what’s the point of doing anything? We all follow the path that God has in store for us, so we will end up in the same place no matter what, so why bother?

To wrap this up I will say that obviously we do not live in a time of sacrificing goats and crucifying people and slavery, so the thing to be learned from all of this is that life changes, so we have to change religion with it. We have created better ways of living our lifestyles, and different ways of interpreting religion. Religion is good because it keeps people in place, prevents them from doing bad, and makes them stay good. Without religion we would all just commit suicide, because there would be no motive to drive us through life. Religion is great, because it gives us something to look forward to in the afterlife.

Please comment, share your theories and opinions with us, let’s hear what you have to say.

Too Good To Be True

crash and burn

Foreword: This is the first post every by community contributor VenomousWonder.  This is a very interesting post, which I believe all of us can relate to.  Yes, per request of author I have made some small changes, but the content of the story and the idea is his, and I take no credit for this whatsoever.  With that said, we need more participation from the community.  If you want to be recognized, please e-mail me at versatileninja [at]  ~ Versatile

I think it is safe to say that in general, people are overly cautious when we come across something that is too good to be true.  You may have received snail mail at home saying you can make thousands of dollars by staying at home and sending out envelopes.  Or perhaps you can make good money visiting websites and leaving back feedback.  All of this comes at a price.  You have to waste your time for what could turn out in the end a sham or just not as much money as you had originally expected.  Yet, all the time we hear sob stories of people giving into these tactics under the belief they have found the “Holy Grail”, only to be left in shambles or their identity stolen.  Scary?  Yes.

So where am I going with this?

As the old saying goes, “If it sounds like it is something to good to be true, then it is.”  There is no such thing as a free lunch, remember?  Somebody had to pay for that lunch you are eating. 🙂

So yes, if something seems to good to be true, then it really is.  Either that or it has so many strings attached to where you don’t even want to be a part of it anymore. A great real life example is getting a free trip so some resort location, only to be stuck in a room for the majority of the trip answering surveys and being a monkey for the advertisers that paid for your airefare.  No one wants to be caught in this type of shady situation, and I am sure that this has happened to everyone at some point in their life or at least they know someone who got duped or their life turned upside down because of this.  If so, come on and share.  Your secrets will be safe with us!

My Story

The other day I had many opportunities opened up and it seemed like the perfect day to take risks so I took upon it.  At the time, I was in the zone.  Everything just seemed perfect in life, and everything I had going seemed like long term commitments.  It all seemed so divine that it got to the point to where I was scared!

The day started off when the sweet aroma of chocolate chip pancakes arosen me from sleep.  I had walked into the kitchen with a sense of passion with this feeling that it was just going to be a great day. My mom greeted me with a smile, and the table was all set for me to enjoy my breakfast.  I could not believe my eyes.  The pancakes were made perfectly with the right amount of syrup poured all over it.  Not too sweet, and not too dry.  Yum.

Afterwards, I then went for a walk and found $50 on the sidewalk!  Holy crap,  I never find money like this!  It was not crumped, or a crisp dollar bill.  Instead, it was folded in half, perhaps fell out of a runner’s wallet?  Well, there was no name on it, so I can’t return it to the rightful owner so I just smiled with excitement.  Just finding it on the ground I felt ashamed, but in a way its not stealing right?

The best part of it all was that I had just spent just a few dollars the day before, so I decided to go out and buy some video games with my new found treasure.  My brother gave me a ride, which was nice because usually he never showed this act of kindness. Along the way to the store, we hit a really bad bump, but we were sure it was nothing.  I bought my video game, and played it for a little bit. The game was really good, and using the new money it was as if I got the game for free even.  Later on I went on this date that I was expecting for quite a while. This girl was perfect, and it had felt as if I had known her for years.  We connected immediately, and it just all seemed too good to be true.  Soul mate in disguise perhaps?

The Downfall:

The next day it was as if hell arrived at my doorstep.  All the happieness from the previous day was instantly drained as my mom made me do two hours of chores.  Soon after, the girl who I thought was the “one” had called me and told me she found someone else.  Just when I thought it couldn’t get worse, I find out that my mom had dropped one of my favorite games and it got scratched to the point of being unreadable.

Oh yea, the bump we hit yesterday?  Well, it did turn out to be something because it made a dent in the tire, and now I got to pitch in for half the cost to help fix it! My brother blamed me for the tire! What the heck happened to being nice?  This just shows you that in the matter of one day everything went from great to horrible. All of the past events have taught me that most things are too good to be true, and they just seem that way because life is trying to be pedantic.

When was a time that this happened to you?

Was there ever a time where something seemed too good to be true?  Was it?  Tell us your story.

What can be learned from this?

1. Never get your hopes up.

2. Usually if something seems too great to actually be happening it probably is.

3. Only time will tell what is actual and what is fake.

Sure, sometimes we all have a good thing going, and it seems to be very excellent, but then Satan and his little Nazis come and sneak up on you with the stealth and silence of a cat. It swipes you away, and you begin to get frustrated, but there is always next time.  Let’s hear what happened to you. Did you get duped someone?  Felt as if God never listened to your wishes, or he did and then just smashed you into the ground?  We want to hear it!!!

If you have a premium account for one of these one-click-hosting sites and wishes to bring your pirating skills to the next level, there’s nothing better than to have access to a database of links of your favorite movies, music and games. Even if you are a free user, you can still download those contents, although with limited speed and size,  and the addition of waiting time.

I warn you though, the comfort of safe piracy, the vast amount of content and the convenience of high speed downloads will make this habit somewhat of an addiction. Pretty soon you’ll feel as if you’re on a quest to back up the internet. I myself have dedicated 3 terabytes(still growing) of personal storage space to 720p and 1080p high definition movies, the qualities of which, needless to say, are totally awesome. To put icing on the cake, I’ve connected my video card to my 50 inch 1080p LCD TV with a 15 feet HDMI cable. My heart beat goes up whenever I put on a movie, or whenever I change my game resolution to 1920×1080.

Anyways, as I was saying, if you wish to download from Rapidshare, or Megaupload, or other one-click-hosting sites, and are still searching for a place to find links, you can simply visit these following links. These links are private forums, in which users of the aforementioned hosting sites gather to post the media contents that they’ve uploaded. Simply use the search function of these forums, to find what you are looking for. Of course, as with all forums, they require a registration, but I hope that you will not let a process that`s as easy as abc123 get in your way.
