[How To] Play Watch Dogs (PC) With PC or PS2 USB Controller Tutorial

Revisions:
5-31-14: Initial release.

Watch Dogs for PC was recently released, and since it is strictly a 64 bit game for Windows, you are going to have to do some extra work to get your PC USB game controller or a PS2 type controller to work properly with Watch Dogs. The basic outline of how this works is below. The download links are in the video description of the Youtube Video tutorial.

  1. Download latest copy of x360ce.
  2. Download the x64 binaries.
  3. Extract x360ce into the Watch Dogs main directory. Run it and configure your controller.
  4. Now exit the program, and copy over the x64 binaries.
  5. Run the game, and your game controller should be recognized.

  3. Run the shortcut on the desktop as administrator and start playing!

For more details, see the video tutorial below, which also has a link to the main forum in the video description. Enjoy!

GazelleGames.net – A Private Game Torrent Site

Revisions:

4-2-14: Initial release.

So some of my gaming friends had been asking me if there was a different private gaming torrent site that they could look into since their main preference (Blackcats-games.net) is constantly DDOS attack and is down.

After some research, I found GazelleGames.net which seems to be a similar site. Registrations are open right now, and I’ve applied and waiting for my registration key if they will accept me.

If you are part of this site, or similar ones, please let us know which ones and if they are taking open applicants! Thanks!

MW3 Dedicated Server Tools – Play Online for Free

Revisions:
1-22-14: Initial Release.

For the past year or so, I’ve known a pretty dark secret about Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 for the the PC platform.

Using the ~14GB Call of Duty MW3 dedicated server tools, in addition to install respective game update patches and using the TeknoMW3 program, you can play online multiplayer for free, without buying the game.

In fact, if you use an older copy of TeknoMW3 (v2.7.0.1) with an older patch of the game, you can play single player campaign, as well as spec-ops LAN!

Why does the dedicated server tool have both the single player and all multiplery maps (minus DLC)? I have no idea. What I do know is that this same method worked with the FourlDeltaOne (who no longer exists).

So what’s left? Using TeknoMW3, you can continue to play online and have your good times.

Want to see the video tutorial proving this? See below. Enjoy!

How To Install and Play Daggerfall Easily Using Ancestral Ghost

Revisions:
12-29-13: Initial release.

12-30-13: Added downloaded link. Fixed blog title.

In a previous Youtube video, I showed the user the painstaking method of how to install and use dosbox to setup the game Daggerfall correctly. The issue with this method is its long, and you have to manually mount the image file every time you want to play.

Using the Ancestral Ghost setup, all you do is run the .exe setup file, it installs the game, all latest official and unofficial patches, and that’s it!

Run the shortcut from the desktop or start menu, and you are good to go. No need to mount the image file every time you want to play or extra Dosbox configuration intervention! See the download link below and have fun!

How To Play Counter-Strike Global Offensive Online Using Junkies Client

Revision:
2-16-13: Initial Release.

I’ll keep it short. At the forums of the planetcss.com, they have what is called a junkies client. It allows you to download the entire CS:GO game, and then it has the ability to not only patch and update the game, but give a valid client.dll file that you need to play the game.

The best part? You can LAN with it in Tunngle!

See the video tutorial below that shows you where and how to get this game, and play it online. If you got to the youtube link, the text tutorial is there as well.

LANipedia v2 – Sneak Preview!

Vst banner

Revisions:

12-28-12: Initial release.

So these last few days I’ve been working on updating LANipedia v2, and I’ve added a whole bunch of new games since last time I had released the project.

But this time around, I’ve decided to change the way I am collecting and organizing my data. Using Evernote, it has made my life easier in regards to putting the data together, and it has the ability to export my notes into HTML format, which makes life so much easier in regards to making a final website product.

See below screenshot for sneak peak of how I’m using Evernote for LANipedia:

So what do we have? Left hand side you will see my notebook called “LANipedia”. In there, I have sub-notebooks from # all the way to Z.

In the middle, you see the “Notes” where basically each game is its own note.  The right hand pane is the actual text information of the note, or in this case, a very specific game.

Next week I’ll make a new video and show off V2! Can’t wait!
