How To Downgrade the Fat PS3 from 4.66 to 3.55 Firmware Using E3 Flasher Tutorial
Revisions:
1-12-15: Initial release.
1-13-15: Added part 2 of video tutorial.
1-16-15: Part 3 video tutorial added.
Before Xmas holidays, I got a chance to record a lot of video footage as I took apart my PS3 and attempted to install the E3 flasher for my fat PS3 that uses the NOR chip.
Today I am proud to release the first portion of that video tutorial, where I will show you how to take apart the fat PS3, and go into detail on how to secure the E3 clip to the PS3 mobo (the hardest part of the mod).
One reason I like how I did this video is I go over in detail the steps to take apart the PS3 in such a way that it doesn’t take too much of the viewer’s time. Other PS3 videos on other youtube channels the guys either fast forward through the disassemble process without any narration, or if they do decide to talk, its a LONG video!!!
If you guys been watching me over the years, you know I hate watching LONG videos, so its always my mantra to try to record short but concise videos when I can. Anyway, see the video below and please give a thumbs up, it really helps.
If you have specific PS3 questions, I prefer you ask it on the youtube channel so other gamers can benefit from your questions.

The PSX-Scene.com – Legal Playstation News for Enthusiasts
Revisions:
4-5-11: Initial release.
Do you own a Sony game device? Maybe its a PS1, PS2, or a PSP. Did you know that all Sony game products are jail-breakable or moddable? I am a proud owner of several Sony devices, and I have taken great joy in jailbreaking them to do things that the consumer was not able to do in the first place. The greatest feat of it all is being able to make backups of my games so then I can preserve the original copies.
However, we know that the Playstation scene is a constantly moving force. It is can be tough sometimes to find good and legit news that isn’t faked, or maybe you want to know about the latest homebrew programs or hacks for your favorite Sony device. Where do you get started?

Another PS3 Jailbreak Compatibility Website
Revisions:
10-9-10: Initial Release.
As the PS3 Jailbreak community grows, so does the number of websites that promote the list of games that do work with the PS3 Jailbreak method.
Previously, I had mentioned website Psjcl.com which I think is a pretty good website, and I like its interface. Today I bring to you another website called Psjailbreaklist.com. Although the website interface is a bit clunky, it works. Do you know of any other sites? If so, leave a comment!
PS3 – It Has Been Cracked! (PSJailbreak)
Revisions:
9-4-10: Initial release.
This might be old news for some, but this might be good news for many. There is a device called the PSJailbreak that allows the user to run homebrew applications. Even more importantly, it gives the user the ability to play homebrew games off the hard drive. So for example, it can copy the blu-ray game to your hard drive, and then you will be able to play it without the disc.
Before you get too excited, the price of this is $175 USD. Even more interesting, Sony caught word of this and has already told the Austrailian modchip store that they cannot sell the modchip, and now they are going after USA retailers!
The good news is that there is another clone(s) in the mix and it is called PSGroove. The source code is open, meaning that anybody can use it, and Sony can’t sue anybody. However, the code does not let you play backed up games, but its possible someone will use it for less than legal purposes.

Amazon.com Black Friday Madness.
(click for enlarged image)
As if Amazon.com couldn’t get any better, they’ve finally put down a wicked competition in the Black Friday madness this year.
They have a unique system where you, the consumer vote on what incredible deals you’ll get. There are 8 rounds, each of 3 items under a specific category. For example, the first round consists of the Nintendo Wii, Playstation 3 (40 GB model) and the new Xbox 360 Arcade system that is replacing the Core system. Each are sold at incredibly lower prices (over 50%!) but you’re only able to get that deal on the one you vote for, if you show up at a specified time and are offered that deal.
You can vote once in each round, careful though, you can’t change your vote. You have to be a registered user but it’s free and you only need your basic information until you buy the product. I would recommend setting up your account for one-click buying however as these deals are highly limited to about an average of 500-1,000 pieces of inventory per item.

Cretise – The New Aproach to Getting Referrals, FOR FREE!
Cretise is a new site that is just starting off but has enough members already to do its job. Its job is to give your referral links for any site to other people who are already looking for it but need a way to find it. Cretise is free and easy to use! I started only a couple of days ago and I have already gotten a referral from it!!!
There are a lot of sites offering free stuff like Game systems, $100+ gift cards, etc. but they require you to refer people to join as well. Here is something to help get some of those pesky referrals out of the way!
The way this works is by requiring you to earn credits, to be redeemed (50 minimum) for posting your referral link. The link then remains up until your redeemed credits goes to 0. How do you actually earn the credits, you ask? Well it is actually very simple and easy to do (took me 2 min to redeem 50+ credits)
“There are a couple ways to gain credits for free:
The first way is by clicking on links that other members are promoting. We have a category system so the links will be in categories that you have interest in. Once you visit a link you get a certain amount of credit for viewing it. There is currently no limit to the amount of links you can view in a day, but is limited to the number posted in categories that you are interested in.
Another way to gain credit is from your friends. If your friends are wondering how you are so successful in promoting your referral links, we will give you an incentive to tell them about us. We will give you 100 Credits for every friend that creates a Free account. You can find your link to give to your friends in our Refer a Friend section. Please make sure to use it or you will not get credit for them.” – Cretise FAQ
If you think either of those things will be hard, just try it and find out that IT IS NOT HARD!

PS3 Price Cut
Sony Corps has recently lowered its 80 GB model PS3 price to $499, from the original $599. The lower end 60GB model will be replaced with a 40GB model, which will go on sale on November 2nd.
This step narrows the price gap with competing game consoles, but the PlayStation 3 is still the most expensive. Microsoft Corp.’s Xbox 360 costs $350 and Nintendo Corp.’s Wii costs $250.
However, despite the price cut, many experts analyse that it came too late. Comparatively, Wii has sold 9.3 million units, 360 has sold 11.6 million units, and the PS3 only sold 5 million units, as of October 19, 2007.
