GVNotifier – Desktop Google Voice Notifier App

Are you a google voice user? I am, and one feature I like about it the most is the free SMS texting. Even though I have google voice on my phone, on my tablet, and looking at sms text messages from the web browser, I wanted to know if there was an easier way on my desktop to access all of my google voice functions.
It turns out that there is!
There is a program called GVNotifier that simply does that: it notifies you of new calls, voicemails, and you can even do SMS texting straight from the desktop! Sweet, time to turn off email SMS text notifications.

Why I Love Torrent Files – It Downloads What It Needs

Prologue: Guys, the information you will read in this article is just one very specific scenario. There are other benefits than using it to help download corrupted files of “stuff” that you may have stored on your computer downloaded from previous days. Other benefits include faster downloading, resuming capabilities, and low system overhead resources.
So a few days ago, I had a copy of Call of Duty: World at War that I had saved on my external hard drives a few years ago, as my retail disc copy got scratched and unreadable.
As I was getting ready to make a future tutorial for this game, I tried to unzip my RAR files, only to find out that I could not because it was corrupted somehow?
Green Day – Dos – Album Released!

Guess what? If you are a Green Day fan, you will know that the album officially hits stores on Tuesday, November 13th.
I was browsing some of my sources today, and it turns out the album has been leaked/ripped, and put online in its entirety. I am not going to link where to get it, and I have not listened to it. I can wait until Tuesday for that, but below is picture proof of it existing:

I was surfing the Internet the other day, and I was looking for a game patch for the newest Brink. What I found was a nice blog site that not only had the Brink Skidrow Update 3 patch, but it has a multitude of other things as well!
Although I wouldn’t characterize it as a hardcore warez site, it did have some items available for users who may want to download certain items, without having to go through a torrent site or a forum site.

Puzo.org – Great Forum for Knowledge

Every now and then, I get a user who keeps on asking me if I know of any “great” forums for them to expand their knowledge. Because as we all know, sometimes the best kept secret cannot be found on a regular website, but has to be found in the underground like in some discreet IRC room or perhaps a forum in which no one knows exist.
The biggest problem I see myself is how does a person even know how to find a particular forum, let alone randomly search for it? Today I bring to you a small piece of knowledge that I gained over the years. I don’t remember how I found this forum, but it was another fellow Internet user that made me stumble across it, and this was back in 2004 era. 😛
I bring to you Puzo.org, which is a forum of miscellaneous knowledge. If you are looking for specific links to quench your need, they got it there. Any type of media you are looking for might be found at this website. Granted, I haven’t had an itch to visit a forum like this because many of the links you will find are rapidshare, mediafire, or other similar type sites. Still, I know some people are blocked from torrents, so a forum like this could be helpful in their quest.

However, not everyone is thrilled about the Steam platform. Some see it as genius, and some see it as a necessary evil. Despite what people may think about the program, did you know that there is a devout underground forum of Steam enthusiasts willing to undermine the Steam platform?

RatioMaster – Fake Upload & Download Stats

Torrents. Some people just love to use torrents, and many of them are part of what are called private trackers. In these type of websites, the user must login to download and upload torrents to the system. In these type of websites, the user has a download to upload ratio to maintain.
If the ratio is too low, the user could be kicked from the community, or in some cases banned. To help improve a user ratio, there are spoofing programs available that allows the user to cheat the system and fool the tracker into believing they uploaded/downloaded more than what they did in reality.
How? I have found a program called RatioMaster. net that allows you to spoof your ratio. The program is pretty easy to use. All you need to do is feed it a torrent file, tell it how fast you are downloading and uploading, and click start.
After a certain time interval or when you manually stop it, it will hopefully register the changes to the tracker and your ratio is updated!

Download Dead Before Dawn – L4D Custom Campaign
I will not bore you guys with the details. If you are a L4D fan, you know exactly what this is. If you are (or aren’t) a L4D player and you don’t know what this campaign is, then let me fill you in.
Basically, this is a 5 year campaign that has finally come into reality. This is based off of the zombie movie Dawn of the Dead (2004) where a team of survivors are in a world full of zombies, and their goal is basically travel from town to town and survive.
A popular part of the movie is the “Crossroads Mall”, and man this team has nailed it right on in this campaign. Never have I seen daylight in a L4D map before, and with such great custom music, sharp textures, and randomized puzzles! There are literally tons of easter eggs in this map, and to those who have donated some money to help with the developer’s computer get fixed have their name featured in the map.
Nonetheless, lets get to the more important stuff:
