How To Jailbreak PS4 5.05 Using ESP8266 Method

Revisions:
6-5-18: Initial release.

Hey guys,

So awhile back I had purchased a PS4 with the Uncharted 4 bundle and it was 3.51 firmware. Since then, I upgraded straight to 4.55, and then most recently, upgraded to 5.05. In a previous video tutorial on my youtube channel, I showed how to host the exploit on the PC using the Al-Azif method.

This time around we are going to go one step simpler by using the ESP8266 method instead, which is basically a little microcontroller that can run wifi and code. Various devs have created their own custom firmware so within seconds of powering on, this is broadcasting its on adhoc network and the PS4 connects to it and is able to run the web exploit.

This is awesome because you never have to ever worry about the PS4 connecting to the internet by accident and getting banned because, well, it never connects to the internet in the first place anyway!

See my video tutorial below and go to the youtube page to see all the up to date links. Thanks for watching!

PS3 Jailbreak Games Compatibility List

Revisions:
10-5-10: Initial release.

As we continue with the PS3 Jail Breaking journey, it might be important for the user to know what games are compatible with the PS Jailbreak type devices. There used to be a list running on Google Docs, but the SCEA had worked with Google Documents to have it taken down.

In light of this, there is a new website that strives to maintain this database, and you can find it at http://www.psjcl.com/gamelist-all.

If you are a jailbreak PS3 dongle owner, or just a gamer who is wondering if game XYZ is working, check the list!

PS3 – It Has Been Cracked! (PSJailbreak)

Revisions:

9-4-10: Initial release.

This might be old news for some, but this might be good news for many.  There is a device called the PSJailbreak that allows the user to run homebrew applications. Even more importantly, it gives the user the ability to play homebrew games off the hard drive.  So for example, it can copy the blu-ray game to your hard drive, and then you will be able to play it without the disc.

Before you get too excited, the price of this is $175 USD.  Even more interesting, Sony caught word of this and has already told the Austrailian modchip store that they cannot sell the modchip, and now they are going after USA retailers!

The good news is that there is another clone(s) in the mix and it is called PSGroove. The source code is open, meaning that anybody can use it, and Sony can’t sue anybody. However, the code does not let you play backed up games, but its possible someone will use it for less than legal purposes.

How To ‘JailBreak’ Your iPhone/Touch

I recently purchased an iPod Touch for myself for Christmas! As soon as I took it home,Not My Pic what was the first thing I had to do? Hack the crap out of it!! But there was only one problem, the iPod touch comes with the 1.1.2 Firmware which has not been jail broken yet as far as I know. One reason I am writing this tutorial is because of the lack of explaining other sites do. They say here it is, do it. In this tutorial, I will explain step-by-step how to downgrade your iPod and JailBreak it.

First Step:

The first step is to make sure there is NOTHING on your iPod that you would like to save. Downgrading will erase your music.

Second Step:

Download and save the following file. This file is the 1.1.1 firmware for the iPod Touch/iPhone.

1.1.1 Firmware

Third Step:

Open iTunes and click on your iPod so it brings up the screen to update or restore your iPod. While holding the shift key, click on update. This will bring up a file browser. Browse to where you saved your 1.1.1 Firmware and double click it. Let iTunes do its thing. It will extract and do other crap to your iPod. When it is finished, your iPod will restart and be blank.

Fourth Step:

With the 1.1.1 firmware now on the iPod, you are ready to JailBreak it. Click Safari and navigate to:

http://www.jailbreakme.com

Read the instructions and click Install at the bottom of the page. This will install a .tiff file and also restart the iPod.

Fifth Step:

After restarting, there will be an Installer.app on the main screen. Click this and at the bottom, click install. There will be TONS of 3rd party apps for you to play with! A favorite of mine is the nes emulator.
