I am a gamer, and I enjoy playing all types of games, but there is always one genre that I keep on coming back to time over time again, and its the Fighting genre.

I’m not sure why I love it so much, if its because I can pretend I am the fighter and I can perform all these special moves, or the fact that I can pummel my opponent (or get pummeled myself).

When I was growing up, I got my first taste of fighting games playing with my friends SNES console version of Mortal Kombat II. Man, do I love that game, and I still play it still to this very day on my PSP with a SNES emulator.

I literally memorized all the moves and all special fatalities of that game, and it was a huge step from from Mortal Kombat I. Since then, I’ve played almost every single Mortal Kombat game release (PS2 series sorta sucked, skipped Wii).

Yes, I’ve played other fighting games like Street Fighter II and its derivatives, Final Fight, various beat em ups, and more.

Some gamers just love RPGs and sink time into them. These days, I don’t have that kind of timing and spending a few minutes here and there in a casual fighting brawl can really help with what is otherwise considered a long day.
