GazelleGames.net – A Private Game Torrent Site

Revisions:

4-2-14: Initial release.

So some of my gaming friends had been asking me if there was a different private gaming torrent site that they could look into since their main preference (Blackcats-games.net) is constantly DDOS attack and is down.

After some research, I found GazelleGames.net which seems to be a similar site. Registrations are open right now, and I’ve applied and waiting for my registration key if they will accept me.

If you are part of this site, or similar ones, please let us know which ones and if they are taking open applicants! Thanks!

Opentrackers.org – A List of Latest Open Private Trackers

Picture of Home Page
Revisions:
1-5-12: Initial release.

This past week I was randomly browsing the Internet doing some research for my own knowledge, and I came across a nice blog called Opentrackers.org, which is essentially a blog that has the latest news and updates about what private trackers has limited open registrations.

If you are not familiar with private trackers, it is essentially websites that have torrent files for a variety of things, but to get into these websites can be very hard. By this I mean you got to be invited.

if you don’t know anyone who is a member of these private sites, you can never get in…unless there is open registrations!

So to help ease the pain, this blog has a frequently updated list of open private trackers. If you are looking for one to get in and see what you can find, give it a try!

Burnbit – A Website for Creating Torrent Files out of HTTP Linked Files

Revisions:
11-6-11: Initial release.

Every now and then you come across a website that you never knew existed. Burnbit.com is one of those websites.  If you are not familiar with this website, what it does in a nutshell is that you give it a link to a file that is hosted online, such as http://www.iamthebest.com/downloads/test.zip, and you put that into the Burnbit.com website. If it is able to scrape the file, then it will create a torrent file that anyone can download.

The beauty of this system is that not only can people use a torrent program to download the file in question, it will use not only the bandwidth of the original webhost server, but it will also use the bandwidth of other peers who are also sharing the file.

With that intact, now you can download even faster, and make it easier to share files with other people.  Sign up is free, so why not go there and try it out?

If you want a video tutorial, see my version below:

Use Twitter To Discuss Torrents

Twitter is torrent-friendly thanks to BitTorrent’s Torrent Tweet, an app you can add to torrent client uTorrent to organize Twitter discussions about individual torrents.  With this app, individual torrent files are given hashtags that can be searched on Twitter, like this one.

BitTorrent VP Simon Morris said:

The point of Torrent Tweet is to adapt the powerful referencing system built into BitTorrent to the incredible social interaction engine that Twitter has built such that people can have conversations about things they are downloading, and they can be sure that they are talking about the same thing.

Morris hopes that other torrent sites will adopt #bt hashtag as well, but how realistic is this idea in the first place?  The torrent scene is the home of a lot of illegal activity.  People in the torrent community do not want to risk being caught by making their actions obvious on Twitter.  Despite the risks, though, torrent discussion on Twitter has no end in sight.  Do a Twitter search for the word “torrent” and you’ll be very surprised by how many people are posting torrent links.

Free Music – What It Is and Where To Get It

Hey everyone.

I decided to write this article in response to a question from a fellow user, “PunditStyle”.

“What is an easy way to find free music online?”

Alright then. This all depends on your version of “free.”

If by free, you mean free to download and use LEGALLY, then you have many different options. First, websites such as last.fm, pandora, idobi radio, and others will stream internet radio. You can pick stations based on types of music, bands, songs, and mix and match your favorites. Recently, I used last.fm to find new bands to listen to based on some of the ones I’m currently into. Last.fm is free and doesn’t require a download or an account to use. Pandora requires you to make a free account and there are limitations to how many songs you can skip over. Idobi allows you to download playlists which stream music online. There’s a new playlist every day, so there’s always something to listen to.

[How To] Burn a PS2 Game (From Torrent) To DVD Using Nero

Foreword: This is one of my favorite tutorials, and re-writing it from scratch is a lot of work.  By doing it over again, I hope to convey to you the awesomeness of the PS2, and if you are an owner of it, you need to give it more love than you think it deserves.  It needs you, and you need it.

As usual, The Undergound does not support or advocate piracy.  We support making backups of games that you own.  We realize that sometimes games can be scratched, so making a digital backup is impossible and in lieu of buying the game again, you can download the PS2 game from a torrent.  If you do this method, only do it if you own a retail version of the game.

Downloading games that you do not legally own is illegal, and we want no part of that.  Follow the law.  Play with a conscience mind.  Thank you. ~ Versatile

6-23-09:  Re-release of a classic tutorial.

2-6-10: Removed the youtube link until I upload a new video.

9-27-10: Fixed Nero image.

12-13-12: Fixed Nero image again.

Introduction

Yes, it is true.  You can make a backup of your PS2 game (for legal purposes of course) to preserve your original game.  However, what do you do if your favorite game has gotten scratched up over the years?  Do you want to go out and buy another copy of it?  Oh wait, Gamestop doesn’t have that game anymore?  What are you going to do?

[Ask V1] Issue #1

Every week I post your questions with my answers.  If no one submits a question, then I will make up my own question so that people can learn.

To submit your question to V1, please go here:  Underground Form

———————————————————————————————————————–

Question 1: This question is from Peter:

What is a good way to increase underground knowledge?

What do you mean by underground knowledge?  Hacking, cracking, console modding, torrents, warez, piracy, getting things done, etc?  I don’t know what to tell you.  If you are into the P2P scene, you can’t go wrong learning from torrentfreak.com, zeropaid.com, and slyck.com as a start.  If you want to learn more about technology, visit afterdawn.com or get your daily dose of cool news at digg.com.

Question 2: This question is from Mark:

I like to download movies all the time from the Internet, and I don’t feel bad at all about it.  Is this normal?

It depends.  Are you an ethical person or not?  Obviously, you wouldn’t go into a store and shoplift a DVD movie, but yet you torrent movies from the comfort of your own home and it doesn’t bother you.  Is it because it is convenient?  Don’t think you can get caught?  Thousands of people of downloading the same movie, so what are the odds of you getting nailed?  Thinking like this helps people justify their downloads, even if it is wrong.

So in short, yes for some people downloading movies and whatever else bears no fear upon their conscience.  I am going to say yes this is normal, but if you really like the movie, I suggest you buy it.

Question 3: This is from Bigmitch1998:

IM NEW??? WONT TO KNOW HOW TO RESPOND BACK IS THIER A CHAT ROOM I CAN MYBE?????LEARN HOW TO DO A FEWW THING

There is no chat room for the underground.  Even if there was one, the odds of me being online at the same time that you are is very slim.  If you need to contact me, there is my email on the right hand side of this blog.

This is enough questions for this week.  Next week I will answer another round of questions. I hope that guys have something more interesting, as this is weak sauce. ;0

The Beginning of the End is the Beginning

Hey guys, if you didn’t figure it out by now, www.theundergroundblog.cjb.net is not the new blog.  Instead, it goes to a very comical site, but I don’t want to spoil it.  Those who went to it and kep their mouth shut about it, thank you.  We all need a little fun in our lives.

This Sunday is the real unvealing of the next blog, V2.  All we are doing really is starting over from scratch, but this time not on WordPress.com but on an FTP that was leant to us by a friend.  This means we have more control on the interaction between the Staff and the community.  We got some nifty plugins, and now we have a plugin where a thread will email everytime there is a new comment.

Or better yet, we have forms so now you can submit a form and make it even easier.  Demonoid form anyone? 🙂

Don’t fret.  This blog is not going to die.  I will visit it daily as usual and give answers to those who ask.  V2 will not have daily postings.  The frequency will be much much less, but the content will be richer and more satisfying.  Even more importantly, if you feel that a post is not “rich” enough in content, you will be able to fill out a form and let us know so we can fix it!!!!  Now that is satisfaction.

Today I want to take a quick reflection of my top 3 threads here on V1.  It is a tough call, being that a lot of the PS2 tutorials are mine, and I love modding my PS2.  Note that this blog has been around since April of 2007, but I didn’t go hardcore with it until last fall I want to say.  Now the daily postings will come to an end, and more focus will be on V2. Don’t be sad though, more content is just around the corner. :-0

Demonoid – Free Invites Underground Trading Circle

I am a proud user of Demonoid.  I have been a part of it since May 23, 2005. As you can see, it has been almost 3.5 years as a Demonoid user.  I love Demonoid a lot, and it was saddening to know that in some countries Demonoid cannot be viewed!  Thank you USA!  Anyway, as a proud user of Demonoid, I began to realize that registrations were always closed, and open registrations is very few.  What better way to do it than to organize an underground ring myself?  Why would I do such a thing?

I just want to give, and let other people get in onto the fun.  Hell, if I wanted to get into a private site, I would appreciate an invite, wouldn’t you?  Now that I got an underground ring going, there will always be invites to offer. Check out the google docs and check the list under confirmed users.  We have over 50 people!  If each person gave me 5 invites, that is 250 invites! Muahahahha.  Organizing it on google docs was the smartest thing I could have done. :0

The Underground PS2 Tutorial Table of Contents

Ok, I’m cheating on this one.  This is a table of contents to all PS2 related tutorials on this site.  Being that I wrote every single one of them, I’m proud of all of them, so what better way than reference a table of contents?

However, my favorite tutorial is: https://versatile1.wordpress.com/2007/11/08/how-to-ps2-game-from-torrent-to-dvd-using-nero/

It is also the most popular video on my youtube page: www.youtube.com/versatileninja

Using Nero, you can take that PS2 ISO file and burn it to a blank DVD very easily.  I want to say that is one of the earlier tutorials I have written, and although DVD decrypter tutorial is there, Nero gets more visibility for some reason. ;p

IRC – How to Get Free Porn Passwords

Yea, are you surprised?  Right behind COD4 cracked server post, this one comes in second.  I guess we all know where a lot of people’s priority lies.  I first learnt about this back in maybe 9th or 10 grade in high school.  My Indian friend who goes by Prashant showed me on IRC this secret room on thundercity known as #ASP.  In fact, I think the #ASP group is more than 10 years old. ;0

I hardly use it, but I’ve told others of this secret knowledge.  With the birth of the blog, I decided to share it in tutorial form.  Of course, I tried a new method, trying to gather more interaction from the community.  I needed 30 commentors, and that is what I got.  Hence, the tutorial was formed, but we put it in a forum.  The forum got mad hits, and although there were other threads in the forum, the XXX thread got over 1k views easily.  Eventually, the forum got discontinued, and now today I present it in PDF form hosted on rapidshare.  Do with it as you wish.  In V2, I may or may not even top this with a collection of stuff that readers have sent me.  Will I share it?  We’ll see. ;0

Those are my top 3 threads.  What are your favorites?  Comments appreciated, as I’m interested too!

Demonoid – Free Invites Underground Trading Circle

Revisions:

12-14-09: Cleaned up the entire demonoid form, and wrote a fresh new intro.

Note: Welcome Afterdawn users!  Thanks for seeing the link, and if you have friends or you are just looking for a demonoid invite, you have come to the right place! ~ Versatile

Introduction

Demonid is back, and what better way to celebrate it than to restart the entire Demonoid invite ring?

How does it work?

I have suffered so much in the past trying to figure out the best way to make this work, and this is the solution.  All you need to do is click the google spreadsheet form below, fill out the information, and then follow the instructions on the confirmation page.

If the notes on the confirmation page is so important, why even bother with the form at all?  Well, that is a good question.  The form is there so I can track from the beginning of time how many people have used this service, and so I can tell you guys how popular this invite ring is.

Also, it helps me figure out who has invites.  If there were 1,000 people I have invited over the last year, that means I have at least 1,000 people ready to help me send out invites.  Get it?

Enjoy your Demonoid journey!  You deserve it, and this is the easiest way for me to help you out, as I have been in your shoes before.  Beaten and frustrated, but now you don’t have to suffer. All I ask is just continue to visit the blog. Thanks!
